Quality Assurance
Southern Tier Plastics (STP) has always been committed to quality. Continuous quality control assures that every step of production is at the highest level. Every stage of production is monitored from raw material, to secondary operations, to the finished product at shipping. STP utilizes statistical process control, control charts and production monitoring software to monitor quality throughout production runs and identify shift process problems before the quality is at risk of nonconformance. These statistical process control procedures, along with UL and FDA recognized tractability of materials and in process monitoring; all contribute to our low defect rate.
To ensure STP’s quality is second to none, our Quality Assurance (QA) department uses a detailed quality manual to state and define our procedures for document control, incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Also included are procedures on equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, mold control, statistical process control and internal auditing.
STP is FDA approved, UL listed, and presently in the process of preparing for ISO certification.
