Family owned and operated, Southern Tier Plastics (STP) has been producing Custom Injection Molded products since 1967. Over the past four decades we have seen first hand the changes that have shaped injection molding into the ever-growing industry that it is today. We are proud to say that over the years we too have changed. We strive to anticipate our customers needs by pro-acting to new ideas and concepts.
Quality
STP has always been committed to quality. Customer’s demands for quality products are inherently driven to higher levels. To stay competitive, STP has accepted this challenge openly. Implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) has been completed with continuous training to all STP personnel. The implementation of quality procedures has been completed and ISO certification has been started. Our quality system has allowed us to be FDA approved as well as UL listed. STP is fully committed to making improvements where and when necessary to improve our quality system.
Flexibility
Just In Time (JIT) mode - we have adapted our manufacturing processes to run smaller quantities in shorter periods of time to suit our customer’s needs.
Kan-Ban systems – ability to work with customers using Kan-Ban systems.
Warehousing – STP can warehouse products for your time sensitive release.
Min/Max inventory system - STP is capable of downloading your inventory reports and scheduling our shipments to maintain your preset inventory levels.
Single line items or blanket purchase orders with scheduled releases.
Efficiency
STP utilizes a CAD system for part and tooling design. This helps us cut your time-to-market considerably by eliminating costly design errors before tooling is produced.
Customer Service
Our chief concern is customer service. We will do whatever it takes to satisfy our customer’s requirements. From product design through production, from quality assurance through warehousing and shipping, customer satisfaction is our main concern.

Mission Statement
It is Southern Tier Plastics mission to produce quality custom injection molded parts and assemblies, on time, at a fair price, that meet or exceed our customer’s requirements.
This will be achieved through:
- Demonstrated commitment by all employees
- Quality goals that seek to improve processes continually
- Quality customer service
- Continued education for all team members
- Training to include leadership, team building, quality, planning, process improvement analysis techniques, and problem-solving techniques.
- First-line supervisors will receive training in statistical techniques, statistical data display, and the proper methods and procedures for quality manufacturing.
- Production personnel training includes methods and techniques for quality manufacturing, recording process information, and basic data interpretation. Ongoing training will include problem diagnosis and correction steps applicable to operator/production personnel.
